Stowaway

Stowaway started with a conversation between Rosemary Moore (a textile designer) and Biggles about a woman who successfully stowed away on a ship bound for Australia with only the clothes she could get into her hand bag. By carefully choosing items that were intrinsically small and adaptable, that could be mixed and layered, she managed to create a small wardrobe of options.

Stowaway is a commercial version of this idea. Each of the garments folds into its own little pouch measuring only 10cm high. The fabric is breathable and crease resistant.

Biggles was the designer and art director on the project, creating the Stowaway identity, catalogue, and packaging. The montages (the mid winter shoot was in the East End of London) for the catalogue were created by Biggles and Keith Martin.
